It's amazing how a small word can have such a LARGE impact on a person's life.
CANCER
I think reality is beginning to set in for us. Now, I know that I have not been diagnosed with cancer, but it's the same as if you find a lump in your breast... You still worry until you get the prognosis.
I know that God is in control. My heart knows that. My mind - well, I'm trying to get my mind to know that. See, my mind likes to be in control too.
I am meditating on scripture though: BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD. That means I just need to sit back & let Him have control. No matter what, He will be glorified; in the good news or the not-so-good news.

Mom 2 Chel N Justin
I used to define myself as a working mom who believed in the benefits of daycare, preschool & public school; breast-feeding is great, but not the only way to feed your child. Born & raised in northern NJ transplanted to Georgia. I still believe those things, but now I simply choose to define myself as a child of the Most High God. A work in progress and have no problem sharing my journey. Recovering food addict & compulsive over eater. Afflicted with clinical depression yet trusting God to show me the way.
The Mayor
My beloved hubby, C. He has a heart for God. Some have even described him as "Sold Out for God" - and that's not a bad thing. He's not ashamed to worship openly. He captured my heart when we were just 15.
Songbird
Our adult daughter, C. She has a heart of gold and wants to be friends with everyone. She's sensitive & sweet and beautiful inside & out. Love watching her navigate life and keeping true to herself.
Cool Breeze
Our adult son, J (formerly known as Slugger). A gentle giant. His newest adventure is trying to figure out 'what's next' in life.

- First & foremost, I am a child of the MOST HIGH God! After giving my heart away to the 'world', I decided to take it back & give it to the One who it truly belongs to – God. While everyone else may see me as 'damaged', God sees me as someone made new. He took my shattered heart & put it back together piece-by-piece. From there I am a devoted wife, working mom, daughter, sister, friend, church volunteer, victim advocate, student & rape survivor. I've been through a lot in my years, but God has seen me through it all.
